RouterAuditTool.com (“we”, “us”, “our”) operates the website at routeraudittool.com, a free browser-based security audit tool for Cisco IOS and IOS-XE router configurations.

2. Information We Do NOT Collect

The audit engine runs entirely in your browser using JavaScript. When you paste a router configuration into the tool:

• Your configuration text is never transmitted to our servers or any third party.
• No configuration data is stored, logged, or retained anywhere outside your browser tab.
• When you close or refresh the tab, the configuration is gone.

You can verify this yourself: open your browser’s Developer Tools, go to the Network tab, then run an audit. You will see zero outbound network requests triggered by the audit engine.

3. Information We Do Collect

Like virtually all websites, we collect standard anonymous web analytics data, which may include:

• Pages visited and time spent on page
• Referring website or search engine
• Browser type and operating system (anonymized)
• General geographic region (country/city level, not precise location)
• Device type (desktop, mobile, tablet)

This data is aggregated and cannot be used to identify you personally. It helps us understand which content is most useful and how to improve the tool.

4. Advertising

This site may display advertisements served by Google AdSense or similar ad networks. These networks may use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this website and other websites. You can opt out of personalized advertising by visiting Google’s Ads Settings.
